ABOUT THIS ROOM
Rikyu's idea of "tea ceremony" is the hospitality with uniquely authentic sensibility that is considered as a part of beauty in Japanese tea culture.Rikyu believed that the tea ceremony is for people to spend a leisurely time with tea, feeling and appreciating the fragility of nature and the four seasons (what is born in spring, summer, autumn, and winter, and what dies and decays), without excessive hospitality. This Rikyu’s idea is called "wabi and sabi".
Rikyu-no-Ma is a room where you can experience the beauty of the tea ceremony as Rikyu proposed.
We hope you will take the time to relax and experience the beauty of Japanese tea culture at Rikyu-no-Ma.
Tea ceremony experience is optional. Please make a reservation at the time of booking your stay.
